Wednesday’s featured teen:Jessica Ghittis

If you’re wondering what a casual day on TJJ is like, on Wednesday morning we headed to Kefar Kedem in Hoshaya where we got dressed up in traditional garb, learned to lead and ride donkeys, grounded flour, and made pita. After having an amazing lunch, we met guest speaker Elaine Holter and listened to her and her son, Gaviel’s, story. She shared how his kindness and compassion are still a legacy today, almost 20 years since his passing. Not only was this speech touching, leaving many of us in tears but we also learned how one can transform their suffering and grieving into a time of happiness by spread goodness in this world.
