Hello JSU TJJ Parents,
Greetings from the Golan!
Today we bagan with our first hike. The Jilabun hike is filled with old Syrian bunkers from the 6 day war in 1967. This hike brought to by the work of our hero Eli Cohen!
We then got to visit our second boarder with our neighbor’s from Syria. The teens marveled at the agricultural differences on each side of the boarder. Teens had a greater appriciation for Israel being the stability for so many in the middle east. Furthermore, there is nothing that says syrian boarder more than the DeKarina Chocolate Factory!
We had a blast making our own chocolate bars and truffles!
Finally we visited Tel Saki to see an important site pertaining to the Yom Kipper war of 1973.
What a packed day it was and as the sun sets here in the Golan, we are wishing you a good night.
